Carpe Diem means "Seize the Day!". Since the founding of Carpe Diem Marketing, this phrase has picked up momentum in the media, and we sincerely hope in your lives and businesses as well. The following links have been provided to enable you to "Seize the Day!

Seize the Day... and Give Back:

  • www.volunteermatch.org - Search for volunteer opportunities in your neighborhood by zipcode.
  • www.givelife.org - American Red Cross - Donate blood to save a life. (1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543).
  • www.stjude.org - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: Finding Cures. Saving Children.
    - St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility anywhere. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. We are where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do more science, more quickly. Where doctors across the world send their toughest cases and most vulnerable patients. Where no one pays for treatment beyond what is covered by insurance, and those without insurance are never asked to pay. When the late entertainer Danny Thomas founded St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 1962, he insisted that no child be refused treatment based on an inability to pay. Since then, more than 20,000 children from across the United States and 70 foreign countries have been treated.
    Th
ere are many ways to support the lifesaving work at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Your donation makes a real difference.
  • www.locksoflove.org - Donate Hair - Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
  • www.nike.org - Donate your old worn-out shoes (any brand). Since the Reuse-A-Shoe program began in 1993, Nike has helped donate more than 170 sport surfaces, called NikeGO Places, to communities where they wouldn't otherwise have access to high-performance sports surfaces. It’s also a win for the environment, as thousands of pairs of athletic shoe material are diverted from landfills.
  • www.madd.org - Volunteer your time / donate to this organization. MADD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit grass roots organization with more than 400 entities nationwide. MADD is not a crusade against alcohol consumption - MADD's mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking.

  • www.marchofdimes.com - Volunteer your time / donate to this organization dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.
  • www.modestneeds.org - Help hard-working, low-income households afford short-term emergency expenses. Founded in 2002, Modest Needs is an award-winning public charity with a simple but critical mission: work to stop the cycle of poverty BEFORE it starts for the low-income workers whom conventional philanthropy has forgotten. This is done by empowering compassionate members of the general public to safely and securely help hard-working, low-income households to afford the kinds of short-term emergency expenses that we've all encountered before: the unexpected car repair, the unanticipated visit to the doctor, or the unusually large heating bill, for example.
  • www.uso.org - The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform. The original intent of Congress — and enduring style of USO delivery — is to represent the American people by extending a touch of home to the military. Whether helping a soldier with a connecting flight, distributing a Care Package, serving snacks with a smile, providing local information, or "welcoming home" troops from deployment, USO volunteers are vital to the success of the USO’s mission. While the duties of a volunteer may vary, the goal is always the same – to improve the quality of life of service members, to boost their morale and to serve as the link between service members and the American people.
